Abstract
This paper presents the design consideration for stacked topology of millimeter wave power amplifier, which can withstand up to 24V of supply voltage. The PA contains four power amplification modules connected in series, each one standing 6V voltage. We design a power combining structure using E-plane waveguide divider, which insulative connection with each power amplification module. In the condition of (24V, 4. 2A) bias point, the PA achieves a minimum saturated output power 42. ldBm and a minimum PAE 11. 0% between 26GHz and 30GHz. The paper presents a new configuration for the power outputting part of millimeter wave transmitter, and first reports the effort to supply power for PA in series at module level.关键词
