摘要
Abstract
Ellen Wood thinks that the concept of Possessive Individualism is the core of McPherson' s theoretical construction. Wood analyzed MacPherson' s four models of liberal democracy, pointing out that he would accept mul- tiple elite democracy theory,leaving important elements of capitalism and class in liberal democracy. McPherson did not reveal the class connotations of social relations, and regarded the principles of liberal democracy as bourgeois ideology. MacPherson' s liberal democracy theory has an important theoretical and practical significance for China' s political civilization construction.关键词
