Effects of Olive Leaf Extract on Biochemical Indexes of Blood in Mice With Lead Poisoned
摘要
Abstract
To study the effects of olive leaf extract (OLE) on biochemical indexes of blood in mice with lead poisoned. The health mice were chosen and daily intragastric administration with lead acetate and with different dose of OLE for 30 days. The biochemical indexes of blood were measured. OLE impacted on the blood Pb level and significantly impacted on the number of cells like leucocytes, lymphocytes and neutrophils with significantly decreased indexes compared with model group. It also impacted on the hemoglobin concentration and number of platelet with significantly increased indexes. Administration of OLE increased the activities of nitricoxide synthase (NOS), superoxide dismutase (SOD) and nitric-oxide (NO) content, while malondialdehyde (MDA) content decreased. OLE has significant effects on the accelerating lead excretion, improving the biochemical indexes of blood and its antioxidant function.关键词
