摘要
Abstract
As a vernacular novel written by Li lvyuan, Lamp in the Side Street preserves an important source of lan- guage materials for the research on official dialects of the central plains of China in the 18th century. Many words and expressions in the novel are still extant in Henan dialect as of today. Meanings of some monosyllabic and poly- syllabic words can be properly explained through an illustration of dialectical usages, and meanings of some acro- nyms can be clarified by returning to their original forms. It is necessary to pay attention to the value of all editions or versions of Lamp in the Side Street to serve a better purpose of researching into dialectical usages in it.关键词
