Abstract
Given the current plurality and confusion in the classification of dances, this paper argues that dances should be classified into folk dance, ballet and modern dance in accordance with their styles and genres. This tax- onomy of dances covers various kinds or genres of dances, which is beneficial not only to a better understanding of dances both macroscopically and microscopically but also to the teaching and popularization of dances.关键词
