CURRENT SITUATION OF MEDICAL ETHICS TEACHING AT OUR MEDICAL COLLEGE

Abstract

Objective To investigate the status quo and problems in hodegerics teaching at our school and the strategy to solve them. Methods This study consisted of 272 students, who were recruited in random from five disciplines, i. e. clinical medicine,medical imageology, medical laboratory technology, oral medicine, and preventive medicine. A questionnaire survey was conducted, and database established. The data collected were analyzed statistically. Results The survey indicated that the students thought highly of medical ethics, bue neglected to learn this curriculum; they could better master the theory of this course, but their attitude loward concrete issues was not optimistic. Adjustment and improvement of the structure of supply of teachers, teaching modes and methods were pending. Conclusion Various measures must be taken to improve the teaching of the course of medical ethics and raise its teaching effectiveness.
