摘要

Abstract

A simple and compact planar ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna with multiple band-notched characteristics is presented. It consists of a coplanar waveguide and an elliptic radiator. The first band-notched characteristic in the vicinity of 3. 5 GHz is achieved by embedding a C-shaped slot in the radiated patch, while the second one in the vicinity of 5. 5GHz is achieved by using two symmetric serpentine slots in the ground plane. The third notched band is accomplished by etching a U-shaped slot in the feeding strip, which cut off of the out-of-band frequency (above 10. 6 GHz). The measured results match reasonably with the simulation. There are three notched bands among the UWB frequency range, such as 3. 2 GHz~3. 8 GHz, 5. 05 GHz~5. 9 GHz and above 10. 7 GHz, which indicates that the antenna can prevent potential interference. Meanwhile, the gain, the group delay and the time-domain pulse response of the presented antenna are also examined, which can also prove its good performance.
