Transient optical response of an atomic system in squeezed vacuum
摘要
Abstract
The effects of the squeezed vacuum on the transient optical properties in an atomic system are investigated by solving the non-diagonal density matrix element numerically. We find that the oscillatory amplitude of the optical spectra, the transient absorption,and the response time from the transient to the steady situation are strongly dependent on the squeezed vacuum. But the steady-state value of the absorption spectrum is not affected by the relative phase between the squeezed vacuum and the probe field. Additionally, the population distribution can be modified due to the mean photon number of the squeezed vacuum.关键词
