Global Convergence of a Modified LS Conjugate Gradient Method with an Armijo-type Line Search
摘要
Abstract
Based on the structure of the memoryless BFGS quasi - newton method, a new Liu - Storey ( LS) conjugated gradient algorithm is presented. The new algorithm is the same as LS algorithm when the line search is exact. This algorithm has the properties of sufficient descent in Armijo line search and of global convergence. Preliminary numerical results show that the method is very promising.关键词
