Effects of Foliage Spraying Sodium Bisulfite on Fruit Yield and Quality of Red Fuji Apple (Malus domestica Borkh.)

Abstract
The different concentrations of sodium bisulfite solutions were applied in this experiment to determine their effects on fruit yield and quality of 7-year-old Red Fuji apple trees during abundant yield. The results showed that the fruit shapes were improved, and the yield, red area percent, soluble solid, total sugar and Vc contents of fruits increased by foliage spraying sodium bisulfite solutions. The effects were the best after treated with 5 mmol/L NaHSO3 showing the highest fruit yield, the best fruit shape index, the largest red area percent, the highest contents of soluble solid, total sugar and Vc.关键词
