Digital Pulse Compression Filter Optimization Design for LFM Signal

Abstract
A digital pulse compression filter design method based on second-order cone programming (SOCP) is proposed to control the high side-lobe level in LFM signal pulse compression. The design of pulse compression filter is converted to a SOCP problem, with a specific main-lobe shape being selected as expected and the sidelobe level being controled. Compared with those existing methods, the method obtains a flexible compromise among the peak-side lobe (PSL), the main-lobe width, and the loss in process gain. Simulation results suggest that the proposed method takes an advantage of side-lobe control over conventional window methods. The PSL is still more than 44 dB when the unitary Doppler Is 0. 005. And the pulse compression signal phase is conherent with reference reponse. They meet the requiremens of modern radar systems.关键词
