Study on Teaching Mode of Universities Urban Planning Graduation Design Incorporated with the Principle of CDIO

Abstract
The major of urban planning is a strongly applied professional specialty.Undoubtedly it is a worth research to discuss its curricula setting strategy and teaching method.The study on the teaching method of graduation design is very important for the improvement of education quality of urban planning graduates.In this paper,based on the concept and characteristics of CDIO teaching philosophy,we firstly focus on the need for architecture teaching reform by analyzing and exploring graduation design problems.Secondly,the block diagram expression of a whole model conception about design,implementation and evaluation method of the graduation design are presented.Finally,four modules of the teaching reform are put forward,namely problems analysis,topic setting,practice,and achievement evaluation modes.Based on the application of CDIO teaching mode,the teaching reform experimentation of graduation design on the urban planning graduates at Northeast Forestry University have achieved desired results.It has provided an effective teaching example for introducing CDIO engineering educational idea into urban planning specialty.关键词
