Study on Properties of PPC/PBAT Blends

Abstract
Poly(propylene carbonate)(PPC)/poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate)(PBAT)blends were prepared by use of twin screw extruder.The effects of PPC, chain extender and plasticizer contents on the mechanical and Theological properties of PPC/PBAT blends were investigated.The results show that: with the increase of PPC content, the tensile strength of PPC/PBAT blends increases, but the elongation at break and MFR decrease; moreover, the compatibility, the tensile strength, the elongation at break of blends improve with the addition of diphenylmethane-4,4' -diisocyanate(MDI), but the MFR decreases; In addition, the elongation at break and MFR of PPC/PBAT blends increase with the addition of plasticizer of tributyl citrate, but the tensile strength decreases.关键词
