Abstract
Objective To evaluate the efficacy and toxicity of paclitaxel liposome plus cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil as first-line chemotherapy for advanced esophageal cancer patients. Methods Forty-ning patients were infused with paclitaxel liposome 135 mg/ m2,dl,followed by 5-fluorouracil, dl -5, and cisplatin, dl -3. The cycle was repeated every three weeks. Treatment efficacy was evaluated every two cycles based on the RECIST 1. 0. All patients received at least two cycles of therapy. Results Forty-ning patients were given 212 cycles of chemotherapy, completed an average 4. 3 cycles. The overall response rate was 47. 0% ,4 cases (8. 2% ) achieved complete responses( CR) ,19(38. 8% ) achieved partial responses( PR) , 12(24. 4% ) had stable disease( SD). The median time to progression (TTP) was 6 months (95% CI:5. 09 -6.91). The 1-year survival and 2-year survival were 79. 6% (39/49) and 46. 9% (23/49) .respectively. Adverse reaction was mainly the hematology toxicity and gastrointestinal reaction. Conclusion Paclitaxel liposome plus cisplatin and 5-fluorouracil as first-line chemotherapy for advanced esophageal cancer patients has good effectiveness and safety.关键词
