Abstract
Based on the current status of the drinking water sources in Ningbo City, case studies were conducted in the Jiaokou Reservoir and Zhougongzhai Reservoir for zoning and delimitation of water source conservation areas. The hydrologic model in ArcGIS and a digital elevation model ( DEM) with a spatial resolution of five meters were used to generate the ranges of basins and watersheds, and the water source conservation areas were preliminarily delimited. Based on an aerial photograph with a resolution of 0. 5 m and various ancillary data, the study area was classified into first-grade and second-grade conservation zones that consist of certain water areas and land-based areas. This study provides references for protection of drinking water sources.关键词
