Abstract

The influence factors on the main pollutant concentration of the waste water from the excrement collector of passenger trains were ascertained in this paper, which consist of the train type, the running time, the running interval, water consumption for washroom, and the habits of clean-keeping by the trainman. Based on that factors analysis, a new theoretic method was proposed to calculate the main pollutant concentration of the waste water from the excrement collector of passenger trains. According to comparison study, it was verified that the ideal value of pollution concentration calculated by using the new method was very close to the real value by testing the actual waste water sample, and the concentration level scale of COD and ammonia-nitrogen in the waste water from the excrement collector of passenger trains were also ascertained. So a difficult problem how to determine the quality of raw water from the excrement collector of passenger trains in the wastewater treatment plant was easily solved.
