Abstract

Complex seismic trace technology can be used to solve the analytic signal of the real seismic trace through Hilbert transform, and to separate those seismic attributes such as instantaneous amplitude, instantaneous phase and instantaneous frequency which can reveal the local change of seismic signal. Instantaneous phase is a special seismic attribute, and it is independent of seismic amplitude and is not affected by seismic amplitude. For this reason, it can clearly reveal more details of geological structure. Based on the research of theoretical model, the results show that the composite attribute obtained by added up with first-order differential to instantaneous phase of seismic record before and after polarity reversal and then weighted by instantaneous amplitude can accurately identify the location of reflecting interfaces.
