摘要

Abstract

CamShift tracking algorithm is a well-known tracking algorithm. Since it only adopts color as feature, which would fail to track when the object is similar to the background. A novel object tracking method based on SURF and CamShift is proposed. A feedback mechanism is used to calculate the feature similarity between the tracking windows of CamShift, so does the color similarity between the tracking windows of SURF. Large change of displacement is restrained and the weights of both results are allocated dynamically to achieve robust tracking. The experimental results show that the proposed method has good performance on different objects and enviroments.
