Symbiotic Mechanism of Cities Within a Metropolitan Area

Abstract
Drawing on the results of relationship among populations in ecology research, this paper establishes mutualism models among cities within a metropolitan area under close and open conditions. Furthermore, based on derivation and analysis of the model, we study the symbiotic mechanism among cities within a metropolitan area, analyze the relationship of those cities' urban structures and industrial structures, as well as the performance of symbiotic relationship in various stages. Then, we discuss what kind of impact will occur to the original symbiotic relationship within a metropolitan area accompanied by the introduction of FDI. The inclusion is that the strength and direction of FDI effect is closely related to the coefficient of FDI spillover effect on the local environmental capacity.关键词
