At present, Europe and the United States and other developed countries more adopt gas process to produce HPMC, one batch of high output, short reaction time, the labor intensity is small; Domestic production mainly adopt liquid process and the reactor is usually less than 15 m3, labor intensive, but the equipment has low pressure requirements, little risk. Europe and America has a mature HPMC market, carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and HPMC consumption respectively accounted for 50%; With the development of China's economy and the raise of the technology level, HPMC market is in rapid growth stage, the consumption will gradually be equal to CMC. Because Europe and the United States earlier produce HPMC, the application technology is more abundant; Domestic HPMC application technology has just started, but with the quickening of the process of the domestic urbanization and the improvement of people's living standard, building, food and medicine will be the fastest growth in HPMC application field.
