Controllable Preparation of Poly-α-Methylstyrene Polymer

Abstract
Using a-methylstyrene (crMS) as polymerization monomer, poly-crmethyl-styrene polymer (PAMS) was synthesized by anionic polymerization method. The molecular weight (Mn, Mw) and the molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn) were determined by means of light scattering gel chromatography. The results show that anionic polymerization can be used to control the molecular weight of PAMS and to achieve extremely narrow molecular weight distribution (Mw/Mn<l. 1).关键词
