Perceived Discrimination and Depression: Moderating of Coping, and Social Support in Migrant Children
摘要
Abstract
Objective: To evaluate the moderating effects of coping style and social support on the relationship between perceived discrimination and depression. Methods: 558 migrant children residing in Changsha were administrated Perceived Individual Discrimination Scale, Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale, Simplified Copying Style Questionnaire and the Index of Sojourner Social Support Scale. Results: Perceived discrimination had significantly positive prediction on depression; active coping style intensified the impacts of perceived discrimination on depression and social support attenuated the moderation effect. Conclusion: Active coping style and social support have combined moderating effect on the relationship between perceived individual discrimination and depression among migrant Children.关键词
