Abstract
Objective To study the levels of sFlt-1 in umbilical vein serum and the expressions of Flt-1 protein on placenta of twins discordance, providing more information for discussing the relationship between sFlt-1,Flt-1 and twins discordance. Methods Collected 40 women with dichorionic twins, including 17 twins discordance and 23 twins concordance. The cases came from Department of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of the First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assay technique was used to measure the serum level of sFlt-1. Flt-1 content and distribution in the placenta tissue was measured by immunohistochemistry. Results The results showed that the serum sFlt-1 level of the smaller fetus in twins discordance was relatively higher than the larger fetus and those of control group ( P < 0. 05 ). The contents of Flt-1 protein in placenta of the smaller fetus in twins discordance were relatively lower than the larger fetus and those of control group (P <0. 05). Conclusion The abnormal expression between sFlt-1 and Flt-1 was closely related to dichorionic twins discordance.关键词
