Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To establish a method for simultaneous determination of phenolphthalein and fluoran in Phenolphthalein buccal tablets. METHODS: RP-HPLC method was adopted. The determination was performed on Phenomenex-C18 column with mobile phase consisted of methanol-water (80:20) at the flow rate of 1.0 mL·min-1. The detection wavelength was set at 285 nm and injection volume was 20 uL. RESULTS: Phenolphthalein and fluoran could be separated completely. The linear range was 4~ 100 μg·mL-1.for phenolphthalein (r=0.999 9) with average recovery of 100.27% (RSD=0.45%) and 0.21-5.30 μg·mL-1 for fluoran (r=0.999 9) with average recovery of 99.89% (RSD=1.04% ). The content of impurity in 3 batches was lower than 0.11%. CONCLUSION: The method is specific, simple, accurate and reliable for quality control of Phenolphthalein buccal tablets.关键词
