Abstract
OBJECTIVE: To investigate the utilization of type Ⅱ psychotropic substances in a sanatorium. METHODS: The prescriptions of type Ⅱ psychotropic substances in a sanatorium from 2010 — 2011 were collected and analyzed statistically in terms of the number of prescriptions and continuous medication in different age ranges. DDDs and DUI of these medicines were also analyzed. RESULTS: DUI of 6 kinds of type Ⅱ psychotropic substances were smaller than 1.0 in the sanatorium. The continuous medication time of those over 70 years old was relatively long. The number of females between 41 and 60 was more than that of males in the same age range. CONCLUSION: In the sanatorium, type Ⅱ psychotropic substances mainly help to sleep in middle aged and elderly convalescents. But the continuous medication time of part of the elderly over 70-year-old is too long in a certain degree of over-dependence manner to which we should pay attention. Clinicians should pay attention to the medication of females between 41 and 60.关键词
