摘要

Abstract

The control strategy based on finite-state model predictive control is applied in STATCOM. By using the inherent non-linear characteristic and finite switching states of the converter, the control purpose is achieved. The eight voltage vectors have been obtained according to the mathematic model of the STATCOM. This paper puts an emphasis on introducing the theory of FS-MPC and cost function. The relevant equations have been deduced and used to control the predictive currents in order to compensate reactive power in a fast manner. The result of simulation shows that the system using FS-MPC strategy is able to achieve the goal of detecting and compensating reactive power.,Moreover, its advantages include the stability of DC capacitor voltage, strong decoupling capability, excellent dynamic property, simple structure and robustness.
