摘要

Abstract

Considering the fact of obsolete remote meter reading technology, poor communication protocol interoperability, high network operation costs, in order to meet the requirements of smart meter reading in smart power grid, a kind of new two level network framework based on GSM ZigBee is proposed in which the communication protocol of remote meter reading system is designed. To ensure the reliability of communication link, the serial port communication solution which include the call, response, communication process. In the end of this paper, the solution is tested in laboratory. Test result shows that the system can be characterized as high reliability, low cost, simple network scheme, and moderate meter reading speed. The solution in this paper can meet the design requirements.
