摘要

Abstract

Based on the research result of harmonic instability in single-circuit HVDC power transmission system, by use of switching function a further theoretical derivation of the modulation of converter is performed, and in the viewpoint of circuit principle the whole process of transferring harmonics between AC power transmission system and the HVDC power transmission system composed of parallel double-circuit lines back and forth via DC converter is overall considered, and a new criterion to judge whether harmonic instability occurs in HVDC power transmission system is proposed. The fact that the results of frequency scanning analysis based on the proposed criterion coincide with results of electromagnetic transient faults simulation shows that the proposed new criterion can well assess the risk of harmonic instability at the sending end of HVDC power transmission system composed of parallel double-circuit lines.
