Abstract
Objective To explore the clinical efficacy of noninvasive ventilation ( NIV ) for respiratory failure.Methods 90 patients enrolled in this study all met the diagnostic criteria for respiratory failure; divide them into control group and study group,45 for each group.The control group received conventional treatment,while the study group received NIV in addition to the conventional treatment.PH,PaO2,PaCO2,HR,and RR were detected; length of hospital stay,intubation rate,and mortality rate were noted in both groups.Results The study group was superior to the control group in the improvement in PaO2,PaCO2,HR,and RR ( P＜ 0.05 ).Length of hospital stay was shorter in the study group than in the control group ( P＜ 0.05 ),and the intubation rate was lower in the study group ( P＜ 0.01 ).There was no significant difference in the mortality between the two groups ( P ＞ 0.05 ).Conclusions NIV is non-invasive,safe,and efficacious in the treatment of respiratory failure.关键词
