Abstract
Objective To explore the impacts of breast massage and psychological induction on stages of labor and childbirth outcomes.Methods 300 primiparas who had no cephalopelvic disproportion or pregnancy complications were randomly divided into a study group and control groups A and B.The control group A received conventional nursing,health education,and intravenous infusions of oxytocin to strengthen uterine contractior; the control group B received conventional nursing,health education,and regular observation of stages of labor,while the study group received nipple massage and psychological induction besides conventional nursing and health education.Results The rates of C-section （ 4％ ) and neonatal asphyxia ( 2％ ) were markedly lower,the total duration of stage of labor ( 5.93 hours ) was shorter,and mean volume of postpartum bleeding within 2 hours ( 22.78 ml ) was smaller in the study group than in the control groups ( P ＜ 0.01 or P ＜ 0.05 ).Conclusions Breast massage and psychological induction can significantly reduce the stages of labor and the postpartum bleeding volume within 2 hours,accelerate natural labor,decrease rates of C-section rate and neonatal asphyxia,and improveobstetric quality and primipara satisfaction.关键词
