Abstract

The coagulation precipitation was used to treat the fermentation alcohol wastewater. The influ- ences of coagulation nature, coagulation dosage, pH and sedimentation time were researched. The study showed that PAS was superior to PAC and PFS. The optimum reaction conditions were at pH 8 and 60 mg/L of PAS with 90 min of sedimentation time. Under these conditions, the removal rates of COD, turbidity and NH3-N would reach 41.91% , 46. 15% and 49.61% , respectively. The results demonstrated that coagulation precipitation would lighten the burden of following afterpurification system, and help to enhance quality of recycled water
