摘要

Abstract

Aiming for practical application in pathological tremor suppression of upper limbs, a compact rotary magnetorheological fluid damper was proposed. On the basis of its structure , the factors influencing the static and dynamic characteristics of the magnetic circuit and its design were studied analytically from electromagnetic perspectives; simulation and optimization based on finite element method were conducted computationally to verify the characteristics of the magnetic circuit and the design of the damper; the current vs. Output torque relation and the dynamic response were estimated. Finally, the design methodology of the magnetic circuit of magnetorheological fluid damper for compact size and light weight was proposed.
