摘要

Abstract

Based on the natural environment data and the field surveying data observed by multibeam system, side scan sonar,subbottom profiler,gravity core sampling in the route surveying area, we analyzed and evaluated the natural environment and engineering geologic conditions in the route area of South-East Asia Japan Cable System (Shantou segment less than 300m water depth area) in detail, and found that the natural and engineering environment in the continental shelf of the route area is suitable for cable laying, but in the region between continental shelf and continental slope the condition is relatively worse, appropriate measures should be taken before laying.
