摘要
Abstract
Objective To evaluate the value of serum procalcitonin (PCT) in the differentiation of the cause of fever in patients with severe craniocere bral injury. Methods The relationship between the serum PCT levels and the cause of fever in 40 patients with severe craniocerebral injury in intensive care unit was analyzed. Results Serum PCT increased remarkably in infection group as compared with non- infection group, and the difference was significant (P<0. 01). Conclusion Serum procalcitonin may play an important role in the differentiation of the cause of fever in patients with severe craniocerebral injury,-which provides basis for appropriate anti - infection and better guides clinical treatment.
