摘要

Abstract

Purpose To explore the expression of Smad4 and R nnx3 in cervical lesions, and to investigate their association with HPV 16 infection. Methods Immounohistochemistry was performed to detect the expression of Smad4 and Rnnx3 protein in formal in-fixed and paraffin-embedded cervical tissue specimens with cervicitis,cervical intraepithelial neoplasia ( CIN ) and cervical sqiiamonse cell carci-nania ( CSCC ). The HPV16 DNA was detected by PCR. Results The positive expression rates of Smad4 and Riinx3 in chronical cervicitis, CIN and cervical cancer were 80% and 69. 8% ,40% and 84% , and 69. 8% and 40% , respectively. The expression of Smad4 and Rimx3 was higher in cervicitis than that in CIN and cervical cancer ( P <0. 05 ). The expresssion of Smad4 was related to the tumor differentiation and lymph node metastasis. The lower expresssion of Rnnx3 was not only correlated with the tumor differentiation and and lymph node metastasis, but also significantly related to FIGOs' stages ( P <0. 05 ). But Smad4 was negatively associated with HPV 16 infection in CSCC ( r = -0. 327 , P <0. 05 ). Conclusion Decreased expression of Rnnx3 and down-regidation of Smad4 by HPV 16 infection in CIN and CSCC are important factors blocking TGF/Smads signal pathway, and might be related to the pathogen-esis and progression of cervical lesions.
