Abstract
[ Objective ] To investigate the quality of air, soil, and surface water at dangerous goods stations of Shanghai Railway Bureau. [ Methods ] Shanghai Nanxiar.g station (Taopu station) and Wuxi station (Nanmen freight yard) were selected as study sites. On-site monitoring and sampling of air, soil, and surface water were carried out for laboratory analysis and quality assessment. [ Results ] At Nanxiang station (Taopu station), the ambient air PM10 concentration was beyond the Level 2 limit as prescribed in Ambient Air Quality Standard (GB 3059-1996); the concentrations of lead, arsenic, and mercury exceeded the Level 3 limit in Environmental Quality Standard for Soils (GB 15618-1995). At Wuxi station (Nanmen freight yard), the monitoring index of petroleum and total phosphorus did not meet the Class IV standard provided in Environmental Quality Standard for Surface Water (GB 3838-2002). [ Conclusion ] The railway dangerous goods stations investigated are threatened by some environmental pollution to various extents. Therefore, strengthened monitoring and proper control measures should be adopted.关键词
