摘要

Abstract

To explore the transient process of the second order over damping circuit in the electromagnetic railgun , mathematical models for transient quantity of the storage capacitor voltage, the discharge circuit current and the armature back electromotive force ( EMF) were respectively established in this paper. Their change laws in different inductance gradients were analyzed by using Matlab software. The results showed when the inductance gradient increases, the fluctuations of voltage and the current are small,but the fluctuation of back EMF is big. With the time increase,the current and the back EMF fluctuate obviously and drably attenuate to zero after a peak,but the voltage always drably attenuates to zero.
