摘要

Abstract

Water resistance and mechanical properties of crushed bamboo-mat composites, made from bamboo (Dendrocalamus farinosus and Phyllostachys heterocycla) mats with different node locations were studied. The results showed that the composite samples with nodes assembled in the middle portion had better water resistance and horizontal shear strength, while composite samples without nodes showed higher properties in modulus of rupture, tensile strength and compression strength. It is suggested that nodes should not be overlapped for making crushed bamboo-mat composites.
