Abstract
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression,Mao Zedong in his capacity as a politician and military strategist,and Feng Youlan in the name of a philosopher had both expatiated with far-sighted vision upon the process and prospects of the anti-Japanese war.Feng Youlan's treatise on "China's road to freedom" in Xin Shi Lun alias China's Road to Freedom coincided with the thoughts of Mao Zedong framed in the latter's monumental work of On Protracted War,and the two both stayed convinced that after arduous and drawn-out struggles,China would eventually prevail in its efforts to defeat Japanese imperialists and gain national independence and liberation,and that the great Chinese nation would stand towering in the Oriental.关键词
