Abstract
GUO Zizhang, a famous statesman and strategist in Wanli Period of the Ming Dynasty, not only had outstanding exploits and remarkable political achievements but also was a great scholar, plentiful in Geographical works, especially those of Human Geography. Knowledgeable and marvellous experience as well as rigorous scholarship, produced a high value in his Geographical works. Among them, Jun Xian Shi Ming was the first work that annotates the historical names of prefectures and counties in China, played a powerful role in toponymy history. Records of Guizhou province, Book of Yuzhang and other chorography recorded physical and human geography of Jiangxi and Guizhou provinces. Besides, investigation and practice of administrative division in South -western nationality areas were embodied in Qian Cao and other local literatures.Those Geographical works provide valuable information for the study of Guo Zizhangs' Geographical thoughts, historical toponymy, physical and human geography in Southwestern China in the Ming dynasty.关键词
