摘要

Abstract

The ZnO micro-prisms with different morphology and Er3+ doped ZnO samples have been synthesized via a hydrothermal method by tuning the solvent. The prepared ZnO samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction ( XRD ) , scanning electron microscopy ( SEM ) , photoluminescence (PL) spectrometer and spectrophotometry. The results indicated that uniform micro-prisms can be easily obtained by tuning the volume ratio of alcohol to water. When the volume ratio of alcohol to water is 1 : 2. 5 , the ZnO samples have the weakest defects emission, the lowest defects concentration and the best crystalline quality. The absorptivity increases with the increase of Er concentration until the concentration of Er + reaches to 4mol% .
