New technologies for energy dissipation and scour prevention in hydropower projects of Zhejiang mountainous area

摘要

Abstract

Based on investigation of construction and operation conditions of hydropower projects in the mountainous area of Zhejiang Province, the problems of energy dissipation and structure scour prevention were analyzed, and some new materials and technologies are proposed, such as fiber reinforced concrete ( FRC) , the stone cage net, and riprap concrete. Application of these new technologies shows that they can reduce temperature cracking during the construction period and improve the abrasion resistance after use of FRC. The capability of the weak part of the riprap anti-scour trench is effectively improved after using the stone cage net and riprap concrete.
