摘要
Abstract
Chinese culture-loaded words, which are unique to Chinese culture, convey the peculiar way of activities accumulated in the process of the long Chinese history. The present thesis discusses translation of Chinese culture-loaded words from the perspective of cultural schema theory. Based on the analysis, the relationship of cultural schema between Chinese writers and English readers can be divided into four kinds~ correspondence, parallel, gap and dissimilarity. Translators should translate Chinese culture- loaded words with appropriate strategies in order to help English readers fill up cultural schema gap, revise cultural schema difference and reconstruct new cultural schema.关键词
