摘要

Abstract

Objective To observe the levels of five metal elements such as Cu2+ , Zn2+ ,Ca2+ , Mg2+ and Fe2+ in women with thalassemia (thal) minor at reproductive age so that evidence could be gained to evaluate the women's nutritious conditions as well as to correct the abnormal conditions before pregnancy properly. Methods Samples from 4 women groups which were identified by genetic detections during June 2010 and March 2012 including 52 silent a thai,68 standard a thai,42 β+ thai, and 80 healthy women as control were detected for Cu2+ ,Zn2+ ,Ca2+ ,Mg2+ and Fe2+ in whole blood by atomic absorption spectrographic method,then followed with statistic analyses. Results No statistical difference was found in levels of Cu2+ ,Ca2+ and Mg2+ among all the groups (P>0. 05). Fe2+ levels of all thai groups were statistically lower than that of control group (P<0. 05) while no statistical difference was found among them (P>0. 05). Except that Zn2+ level of standard a thal group and that of β+ thai group was statistically lower than control group (P<0. 05) ,respectively. No statistical difference was found among the other groups (P!>0. 05). Conclusion Compared with normal women, women with thalassemia minor in reproductive age had more chance to be short of some trace elements such as Zn2+ and Fe2+ . More attention should be paid to monitoring as well as interfering in the abnormal conditions.
