Abstract
[Objective] To observe effects of the Jinshuibao capsule on serum levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD),tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-a) and immune function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). [Methods] The 80 participants with the diagnosis of COPD were randomly divided into the treatment group and the control group. The treatment group consisted of 40 participants that received the Jinshuibao capsules in addition to conventional treatments. The control group consisted of 40 participants that were given only conventional treatment. The course of treatment was 2 years. To observe the variation of SOD,TNF-a,immune function and lung function of two groups. [Results] The study resulted in increased SOD serum levels as well as decreased TNF-a levels in the treatment group (P<0.01),and the pulmonary function of participants in the treatment group were markedly improved. [Conclusion] The Jinshuibao capsule is effective in increasing antioxidant capacity as well as enhancing the immunity of patients. The Jinshuibao capsule can increase the curative effect on COPD patients.关键词
