The Multi--Dimensional Summary on the Historical Experience of British Petroleum Company Operating in Iran
摘要
Abstract
At the beginning of the 20th century, Iran had a large amount of oil resources, but its government had no ability to explore them. It is the British petroleum company supported by British government that has developed modern petroleum industry, in turn, Britain had had monopolistic con- trol over the oil resources in Iran for some time. However, with the gradual realization of importance of oil resources,Iran authority began to conduct the strategy of massive international competitiveness by introducing other powerful countries to Iran, and thus gradually forced the British power out of Iran and finally made the nationalization of oil industry come true in Iran. Therefore, a plenty of historical experience, left by British Petroleum Company during the oil exploration in Iran, is analyzed and sum- marized from three different dimensions.Britain (foreign investor),Iran (resource owner) and interna- tional relationship.关键词
