摘要

Abstract

The synthesis of 2-phenyl-lH, l'H-2',5-bibenzo[d]imidazole under microwave irradiation by using 3 ,4-Diaminobenzoic acid and benzaldehyde as reactants was reported. The influences of the mole ratio of re-actants, output power of microwave generator, reaction time and the ratio of catalysts, which was PPA and HC1, on yield were investigated. At the first reaction, optimal reaction condition were obtained as the ratio of 3, 4-Diaminobenzoic acid to benzaldehyde was 1.0 ! 1. 2, output power; 300 W, intermit radiate time: 30 minutes; at the second reaction, optimal reaction conditions were obtained as the ratio of 2-ben-zyl-lH-benziminazole-5-methanoic acid to o-phenylenediamine was 1. 0 ?1. 1, the ratio of PPA to HC1 was 1 ! 1, output power.- 500 W, intermit radiate time: 15 minutes. Compared to the previous methods, this new method has the advantages of simplified procedure, mild conditions, easy purification, and good yield.
