Abstract
Agglomeration degree of bee-business industry in China was evaluated by using location quotient index and spatial Gini coefficient to analyze the data related to 9 nectar and pollen bases from 2008 to 2010 in China. The results indicated that bee-business industry in China developed unevenly. Industrial clustering advantages presented mainly in the middle and lower reached of the Yangtze River, Northern and Southwestern China. The regions lacked industry specialization. Industrial chains were not formed within the sectors of apiculture. However, the development was still in iupswing stage. It was suggested that measures should be taken to promote the scale-development of apiculture in China, such as to establish demonstration zones and related associations, to enhance the connection between enterprises and bee farmers, to extend new technologies, to raise the level of specialization, and to give a full play of industrial agglomeration advantages.关键词
