Research and realization of visual location algorithm for small Chip in RFID devices

Abstract
The small chip precision operation is the key technologies of the electronic packaging devices, the visual location of the chip is one of the difficulties in the whole precision operation. In this paper, the visual location algorithm for the small chip in RFID packaging equipment is researched and a new visual location algorithm based on improved Hough transform for the small chip is proposed. The algorithm uses the Sobel edge detection method to extract surplus small edge of the chip and uses an improved Hough transform extract the four circle center coordinates on the chip, in order to calculate the angle and translation distance which the center of the chip rotates around the specified axis. The algorithm has been tested and applied in the RFID package equipment. Experiment results show that compared with conventional algorithms, the new algorithm improves the efficiency and the stability, and is not sensitive to the uneven light,complex details and large rotation of the chip, and increases the competitiveness of the equipment in practical applications.关键词
