摘要

Abstract

A pipelining direct digital synthesis (DDS) architecture based on basic principles of CORDIC algorithm is proposed in this paper to replace the traditional method of ROM look-up table. A full cycle of the trigonometric function calculations was achieved with this algorithm by pre-processing of input angles and post-processing of iterated results. The design was described by Verilog language, compiled by Quartus II 9. 0 and simulated by Modelsim-Altera 6. 4. The results indicate that the algorithm has advantages of large calculation angle range, high speed operation and low resource.
